See the World

We want you to see the world -- and we want the world to see you.
Whether it’s an entire semester studying near cosmopolitan London at Oxford Brookes University, or two weeks in the tropical rain forests of Costa Rica; at Farmington, the world can be your classroom.

Experience Different Cultures
Farmington offers exciting semester-long study-abroad opportunities to more than 50 countries, allowing you to study in Ireland, Australia, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Jamaica, India, Mexico, Japan, Sweden, Austria, South Africa, China, Venezuela, France, Spain, Greece, Russia, or Switzerland.

And if an entire semester is a bit too long, our professors frequently arrange shorter trips abroad, to places like Tokyo, Scotland, Costa Rica, Prague and more.

Whether you want to experience other cultures first hand, see your own country from a different perspective, test your language skills, or trace your personal history, you’ll return to Farmington with a new understanding of your world and yourself.

See More of America
If experiencing a different part of the U.S. is more to your liking, we can arrange for you to study at some 177 different institutions — in 49 states, D.C., three U.S. territories, and four Canadian provinces.

Where have UMF students recently studied? California, Florida, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Oregon, Massachusetts, Nevada and New York, to name a few.
