Students who study at other American campuses can take courses not offered at UMF, study under new professors, and access courses with different perspectives. They can investigate graduate schools and other parts of the country for jobs and as places to live. UMF students who have participated in the National Student Exchange have told us it has placed them in exciting situations — challenging their thinking, expanding their educational and personal experiences, encouraging them to take risks, and enabling them to reap the rewards of doing so.
UMF is a member of the National Student Exchange program, which enables you to study for up to a year at some 177 different institutions — 49 states, the District of Columbia, 3 U.S. territories, and 4 Canadian provinces. You either pay your normal tuition and fees at UMF or pay the in-state tuition and fees at your host campus. The ten most popular states to which UMF students have exchanged: California, Florida, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Oregon, Massachusetts, Nevada and New York.
