Mainely Outdoors hosts a weekly Mountain Bike ride exploring all the Mountain Bike Trails in the greater Farmington Area. Dont have a bike, no worries UMF Mainely outdoors has 12 Mountain Bikes to rent for FREE to UMF staff and students. Riding is for beginner to advanced. Come get OUTSIDE!

Basketball Referee Rules Classes

Central Maine Board #20 is offering a 5-week basketball rules course for people interested in becoming a certified basketball official. This is the first step in becoming certified to referee middle school, junior high, sub-varsity and eventually varsity high school basketball games. Classes will be held on the UMF campus Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 6-7:30pm beginning September 27 and ending October 27. Classes will be held in the Education Center at the corner of Lincoln & High Streets (Room 107). Fee for this program is $60. Classes taught by David Gray, Farmington resident and long-time basketball board official; and Jim Toner, UMF Fitness & Recreation Center Director. Get the Flu Vaccine, Not the Flu. The Student Health Center will be offering seasonal flu vaccine clinics starting Thursday September 29th. The Center of Disease Control (CDC) recommends that all students and staff be immunized to protect against the flu and decrease the potential for spreading the flu on campus and beyond.
