Pre-MBA
Internship Opportunities. Because professional contacts and an insider's perspective are so valuable to your future in business, internship opportunities are a key component to our Pre-MBA program as well as to our undergraduate degree in Business Economics.
UMF students have interned at: Northern Maine General Health; Ocean Properties, Ltd.; L.L.Bean; Ameriprise Financial; K2 Snowboarding; Camden National Bank; International Paper; Irving Oil Company; John Hancock Financial Services; Sugarloaf Ski Resort; Franklin Memorial Hospital; LiveBridge Direct Marketing Response; Boeri and Leedom ski and snowboard helmets; NMS Communications; Franklin Savings Bank; the Law Office of Joyce, Dumas, David & Hanstein; the Maine Bureau of Health; the Finance Authority of Maine; Americorp; Greater Franklin Development Corp.; Salomon North America; Good Shepherd Food Bank and more.
Our Business Economics faculty -- most with years of expertise and practical outside-of-academia experience in international business, marketing, advertising, economics and business consultancy -- use their personal and professional contacts to help you to secure internships.
Over the years, our faculty has helped UMF students leverage their academic achievements into rewarding internships, working as financial analysts, human resource management, marketing, sales, customer services, information systems, quality assurances, production and operation management and other positions.
