  • inspiration: David Quammen. People give him money to travel and write about science (and drink beer and stay in sweet resorts). This notion keeps me going.
  • why Farmington: in the beginning because it was affordable. Now because the program is great, the staff supportive, the environment encouraging and the people irreplaceable.
