  • childhood ambition: My entire life I’ve always had the idea: If I see it I can do it. Though, I’ve had a connection to music from a young age.
  • fondest Farmington memory: So many... but during my freshman year when I became a music major -- at that point I realized I found my calling.
  • soundtrack: What a daunting task! Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Scriabin, Monteverdi, Brahms, Dvorák, Mozart, Beethoven, Ravel, Glass, Reich, Brian Eno …
  • wildest dream: Getting a Ph.D. in Musicology, and teaching on the university level.
  • proudest moment: Working for eight months on a concert with Dr. Pane and having it turn out to be incredibly successful.
  • I live to: Listen, play, analyze, and argue over: MUSIC. And watch sunsets.
  • biggest challenge: Somehow saying bye to Farmington one day and going off to grad school.

  • mentor / hero: Dr. Steven Pane. He’s an awesome guy, and has taught me a ton about music, teaching, and life. I hope I could be the kind of teacher he is when I step into my own classroom one day.
  • guilty pleasure: Listening to a song on repeat more than five times in one morning.
  • perfect day: Composing or discovering some music history I didn't know, cooking great food, going for a walk, bike, or swim (or snowboarding in the winter), then watching a sunset.
  • indulgence: chocolate, espresso, good food, the simple things in life.
  • favorite book: George Orwell's 1984
  • favorite movie: Lost in Translation, Roman Holiday
  • inspiration: music.
  • why Farmington: I just had a feeling this was the place I wanted to spend the next four years of my life. I loved it from the beginning as I do now. Except now, I don't want to leave.
