The Mountains & Lakes are an Extension of our Campus

Farmington is ideally located at the gateway to word-class skiing and snowboarding, and smack in the middle of some of the best hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking in the entire northeast it's a world famous destination for those who are serious about the outdoors. In fact, we consider our nearby mountains and lakes to be a natural extension of our campus. With Sugarloaf, Saddleback Mountain, and Sunday River in our backyard, we're closer to more world-class ski resorts than is any college in New England. In fact, if you've skied Sugarloaf or Saddleback, you've probably driven right through our campus. There's even a community ski mountain right in town and trails for mountain biking, trail running and Nordic skiing are just off campus. The new Maine Huts & Trails System and the Appalachian Trail are just up the road a way and there are lots of nearby rivers and lakes for all kinds of paddling. Simply put, if you're into the outdoors, then Farmington is an absolutely perfect location to spend your college years.
